Transforming Ministry 2020

In the light of the current situation regarding spread of the Coronavirus infection, the Central Readers Council has taken the decision to cancel the Transforming Ministry 2020 gathering scheduled for 25 April 2020.   This includes our Annual Meeting – please watch this space for details of online alternatives  currently being discussed.

A gathering of Licensed Lay Ministers

Saturday 25 April 2020 10am-3.30 pm

Carrs Lane  Centre, Birmingham

Cost: £25 per delegate (inclusive of lunch and refreshments)

Transforming Ministry 2020 will be a special gathering of Licensed Lay Ministers, giving the opportunity to explore the theme of ‘Transforming Ministry’ with representatives from every diocese in the Church of England and the Church in Wales.   Delegates will be able to share experience and explore what it means to be good teachers of the faith (and so model good learning). Bishop Martyn, Chair of the CRC will speak briefly about the renewed vision and Ruth Haldane, Training Project Manager, will give an update on her work.  We are very pleased that Nick Page will be joining us – a well known author and speaker who will talk about his latest book The Badly Behaved Bible.

Three delegates are invited from every diocese – please contact your Warden of Readers/Warden of Lay Ministry for more information.    Please note, there will be a CRC General Meeting at the end of the day.
